Tips

  1. Create your author website

  2. Create a Newsletter

  3. Create a facebook page if you haven’t done that yet.

  4. Create a Twitter account if you haven’t done that yet.

  5. Create a street team / arc team – these are your cheerleaders, those who can help you get the word out.

  6. Create a marketing plan

    1. For example: 21 days from your release do a cover reveal to build buzz on social media. Share this on Twitter, Facebook. Great to do if you have a book up for preorder.

    2. Create teasers pertaining to your book to post with eye-catching graphics

      1. Teaser can be a book excerpt

    3. Add to goodreads once the preorder is live (Amazon and goodreads usually synch after a couple of days so that your book can be found)

    4. The week of release stack ads for those 5 days – meaning schedule ads to run that week, as well as NL swaps with other authors in your genre. The goal is to gain visibility.

    5. Facebook party – a great way to get readers to know about your book. You can do these with your author friends.
